Decision of UQO

Candidates who have applied for admission to the Université du Québec en Outaouais will receive one of the four following decisions:

• unconditional acceptance, if the candidate has satisfied the formalities and entrance requirements;
• conditional acceptance, if the candidate has not provided evidence of having met all the conditions required by the selected program. The candidate must then satisfy the conditions specified in the acceptance letter. The candidate may continue with the registration procedure (course selection);
• waiting list, if the decision is positive but the number of available places is limited. A wait-listed candidate may subsequently receive an acceptance if an already accepted candidate withdraws;
• rejection of application, in which case the Admission Department of the Registrar and Students Services Office will inform the candidate of the reason for rejection of the application.

Registration

After being accepted by UQO, students must make their course selection in accordance with the instruction that will be sent to them after acceptance.

Validity of the acceptance

Acceptance is valid only if followed by registration in the term for which it was issued. That means that a student who has been accepted but has not registered, or has withdrawn from all courses and received reimbursement, must reapply by submitting a new application for admission if he or she wishes to register for a later term.

Recognition of prior learning

Any student admitted to a program may request recognition of prior learning by filling out the form provided for that purpose, which is available at the Registrar and Student services Office and on-line (French only).
